Progress in Motion
See the transformation unfold with our latest video updates. From initial groundwork to flourishing ecosystems, these clips showcase the dedicated effort and incredible progress being made across the project site.
Grasshoppers is leading the way !
Grasshoppers stepped up in a huge way, donating time, equipment, and expertise to help launch the land-clearing phase of Derby Disc Golf Park. Their team brought in the forestry mulcher and got right to work, helping us move this project forward weeks faster than planned. We’re incredibly grateful for their generosity and local partnership. This park doesn’t happen without community-minded companies like Grasshoppers leading from the front.

Grasshoppers Getting After It
This is progress in motion. Watching the land open up in real time is pretty incredible. Every pass clears the way for future fairways, trails, and tee pads as the vision starts to take shape.

James Makes This Look Easy
James behind the mulcher makes tough work look effortless. Just another day turning dense brush into playable space, and bringing Derby Disc Golf Park one step closer to reality.
Volunteer days are the best days
From disc golfers to neighborhood park-goers, the community has shown up in a big way. Friends, families, and volunteers of all ages have come out to clear trails, move brush, and help bring Derby Disc Golf Park to life. These days are about more than just getting work done, they’re about connection, stewardship, and building something meaningful together. Every set of hands makes a difference, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who’s stepped in to help.
Fuel for the Crew
Huge thanks to J.R. Reed for swinging by with the pizzas and to Papa John’s for being such a great local neighbor. From supporting community projects to helping restore nature in Anchorage and the surrounding areas, this kind of generosity goes a long way. Nothing brings volunteers together like good food and good people.
A big thank-you to Papa Johns and founder John Schnatter for their long-standing support of our local community and park systems around Anchorage. We’re grateful for businesses that invest back into the places we all enjoy, and we’re proud to support Papa John’s right back.

Clearing Lines, Creating Life
Pulling down grape vines opens up more than just fairways, it brings new energy back to the land. You can already see beautiful disc golf lines forming, sunlight hitting the forest floor again, and a space that’s starting to feel alive.

Throw a Few Before Heading Home
After a full day of work, it’s always fun to drop in a basket and test a few lines. Just a couple throws, a lot of smiles, and a reminder of what all this effort is building toward.
