Grasshoppers is leading the way !
Grasshoppers stepped up in a huge way, donating time, equipment, and expertise to help launch the land-clearing phase of Derby Disc Golf Park. Their team brought in the forestry mulcher and got right to work, helping us move this project forward weeks faster than planned. We’re incredibly grateful for their generosity and local partnership. This park doesn’t happen without community-minded companies like Grasshoppers leading from the front.

This is progress in motion. Watching the land open up in real time is pretty incredible. Every pass clears the way for future fairways, trails, and tee pads as the vision starts to take shape.

From disc golfers to neighborhood park-goers, the community has shown up in a big way. Friends, families, and volunteers of all ages have come out to clear trails, move brush, and help bring Derby Disc Golf Park to life. These days are about more than just getting work done, they’re about connection, stewardship, and building something meaningful together. Every set of hands makes a difference, and we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who’s stepped in to help.
Fuel for the Crew
Huge thanks to J.R. Reed for swinging by with the pizzas and to Papa John’s for being such a great local neighbor. From supporting community projects to helping restore nature in Anchorage and the surrounding areas, this kind of generosity goes a long way. Nothing brings volunteers together like good food and good people.
