Project team

The people building it.

Derby Disc Golf Park is led by two co-founders who split the work: one on the ground, one on partnerships and funding.

Co-Founder & Project Lead · Partnerships & Development

Reed Nunnally

Reed helped start Derby Disc Golf Park and Friends of Bluegrass Inc. with a simple idea: give people a reason to walk 150 acres every week and the land takes care of itself. He leads park partnership, course routing and fundraising.

Co-Founder & Project Lead · Construction & Operations

Alex Essen

Alex runs the work on the ground — clearing, buildout sequencing, equipment and crews. He also owns safety, which matters a lot on a site where volunteers and heavy work share the same acreage.
